Global ICT Development Index : MISR Report 2015

 India has been ranked 131 out of 167 nations on a global index that measures the level of information and communication technology access, even as the number of households with Internet and computer has increased in the country over the last five years.It was revealed in UN International Telecommunications Union’s (ITU) flagship annual Measuring the Information Society (MISR) Report. The ITU's information and communication technology (ICT) Development Index (IDI) improved their IDI values between 2010 and 2015 - meaning that levels of ICT access, use and skills continue to improve all around the world.



chief mentor of Mumbai Indians resigns

Former Indian Test Captain and ace spinner Anil Kumble has resigned as the Chief Mentor of Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Mumbai Indians with an immediate effect.Kumble picked out the team's title winning run at the IPL and Champions League in 2013 as the team's biggest achievement. Mumbai also went on win their second IPL title in 2015, when they beat Chennai Super Kings in Kolkata.The Reliance Group which owns Mumbai Indians had earlier this month appointed Sundar Raman, the former chief operating officer of the IPL, as their chief executive for their sporting operations.

India's best private bank

ICICI Bank, was recently named India's best private sector bank by the Global Finance magazine.At the global level it is JP Morgan Private Banking which has been nominated as the best private bank.In the Asia Pacific region DBS Private Bank takes the top spot.
